Bio

Anna Brasier is a Melbourne writer and editor.

She has a Bachelor of Communication and a Diploma in Professional Writing & Editing.

Anna’s articles have been published in a variety of print publications such as: The Big Issue, The Victorian Writer, Melbourne’s Child, Hyde, The Westsider, Utimes and Carers Victoria; and online articles in SBS and Weekend Notes. Her stories and poetry have been published in Offset 13, Platform and The Ada Cambridge Prize.

Anna sits on the Editorial Committee for The Victorian Writer (Writers’ Victoria) and she is a member of the Williamstown Literary Committee and overseas the Ada Cambridge Writing Prizes. Previously, Anna was Editor in Chief at Hyde magazine (2016), Victoria University’s student publication, and the former Managing Editor of Offset Arts journal (2015).

Anna enjoys writing about a variety of subjects: travel, food, disability and local interests. She is the mother of three children who are all on the autism spectrum; Anna writes about her life as a carer on her blog, www.amillionshades.wordpress.com
